How to turn a photo into a sticker for WhatsApp?

Turning personal photo’s into Sticker requires a third party application to install. Don’t worry, it’s safe and sound. WhatsApp doesn’t add this feature by default. Hopefully, they will add sooner or later. Let’s start!

Step 1

The first thing you should do is download the Sticker Studio App from the Play Store.

Once downloaded, you must open it. Select the “+” symbol at the top.

The second thing you should do is to create your pack of stickers.

Note: To be able to use the stickers, you must create at least 3 stickers in the same folder. When creating the first sticker, you will have to name the folder.

You will see that a pop-up menu is displayed where you need to select either “Select Photo” or “Capture Photo“.

  • Select Photo: You can use a photo that you already have in your gallery.
  • Capture Photo: You can take a photo at that moment.

Once you have selected the right option, you must allow permission to access phone gallery and camera.

Note: For Android Nogut 7.0 or above, you can’t allow permission from a third-party application. You must open the default setting app to change android apps access permission.

Now you will see that a new window appears – Camera App or Gallery Folder, based on your previous selection. Now you have to either capture photo or select photo from the gallery.

Once selected or captured, You must select the desired photo area by moving your finger around the edge of the photo that you want to turn into Sticker.

Once you have finished, you will see the image you have selected crop. You must select “Save“.

Important: You have to create at least 3 stickers in the same way in the same folder.

Finally, you will see that at the top of the Stickers folder, the WhatsApp symbol appears. You must select it so that this folder is added to your WhatsApp account.

Note: To add more stickers to the same group, you have to enter the same folder already created and follow the same procedure.

How to send photo sticker by WhatsApp?

Once you have created our group of stickers, you can send them by WhatsApp. To do this, you must follow below steps:

The first thing you must do is enter one of the WhatsApp conversations within the chat section to which you want to send the Sticker.

Now you will see that several options. For this case, you must enter the stickers tab.

You will see that the package you have created appears at the top. If you select it, you will see all the stickers.
